I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
